Challenge

Multi-market FMCG operations face accelerating packaging regulation — plastic taxes in the UK, Spain, and Italy, packaging declarations in France, EPR schemes across Germany and France, and CSRD reporting at the EU level. Compliance data lived in disconnected sources: PLM systems for material specs, ERP for volumes and weights, supplier portals for PCR (post-consumer recycled) content, lab data for recyclability. Tracking compliance against each market's deadline required manual reconciliation across teams.

Approach

We built a unified Packaging Sustainability & Compliance Cockpit that consolidates packaging footprint data across all products, materials, suppliers, and markets. The platform integrates ERP, PLM, supplier portals, lab systems, and external regulatory databases into a single source of truth.

Three connected views:

• Operational view — real-time visibility into total weight, recyclability, PCR content, CO₂ per unit, year-over-year trends
